I certainly agree that capital is not a one-dimensional object, and that the return on capital takes very different forms for different assets for different people.

Contemplative Financial Education

Overview

WHAT WE WILL COVER:

Formerly taught as a pilot-study for Sean’s Master's thesis, an M.A. in Contemplative Education from Naropa University. Our Contemplative Financial Education framework fosters emotional intelligence through contemplative practice with money matters directly to individuals. It is about learning to work with our emotions related with financial matters and expand our capacity to act unselfishly. If desired, integrate a contemplative lifestyle into our private and professional lives and especially apply it to finances.

The pedagogy and material are data-driven via consistent financial education research and participant feedback. Depending on the pre-questionnaire results the workshop for all participants will focus on a specific aspect of financial life and our general relationship to money. For example, discussion includes how minute financial decisions in daily life affect cash flow and budget. One aim is to provide applicable ways to combine contemplative techniques with one's current relationship with money. As a part of the class, you will have access to a private online site with suggested material to learn about personal finances.
